Setting Permissions for Provider Staff Members

By default, five Roles are available for Provider staff members, but Provider can change any of default roles, delete or add roles:

To set permissions for a role:

  1. Click on a role name.
  2. Edit a role settings:
    1. You can change a role title in the Name field.
    2. Add some additional information about a role into the Description field.
    3. The permissions settings scheme follows the left menu of the Control Center. To grant access to a Director or a Manager, or a tool under Manager, check the box next to its name, to deny access - clear the box. Please note that checking the box next to a Director or Manager name automatically grants access to all the tools under this Director or Manager. Please open all the menu and check how permissions are set for each tool.
    4. To bring a role back to the default settings, the Reset button at a role screen is provided.
    5. To manage security categories that are hardly specified by Parallels Business Automation - Standard components selection, for example, such as credit cards or bank accounts private data that can be viewed in different Parallels Business Automation - Standard components, or restrict access to some information, for example make some screens read-only for a user, the additional settings are offered:

      View payment method private information - to allow viewing credit cards and bank accounts private data for a person that has this role assigned, check the box next to the permission name. To deny viewing this data, clear this box.

      Manage company profile - to make the provider or reseller company profile the read-only for the role, clear the box next to this security category. To allow editing company profile, check this box. The company profile is available by clicking on a provider or reseller company name in the namespace tree.

  3. To save changes, click the Save button.

To add a new role for Provider staff:

  1. On the Provider Permissions screen, click the New Role button.
  2. Enter a role settings (name and per\missions) as this described above.
